CROSS CREW QUALIFICATION (CCQ) FROM A340 T0 A330
days
This course is designed to transition qualified pilots within the Airbus “Fly-by-Wire” family in accordance with the mandatory elements of the applicable Operational Suitability Data (OSD).
A CCQ course is a course which only addresses the differences between the base aircraft (A340) and the difference aircraft (A330).
Pilots entering this course must be highly knowledgeable on base aircraft systems.
The Ground school part is only dedicated to difference study, but the final system test is identical to the one required for a standard type rating course.
The minimum experience on the A340 may be reduced down to 75 hours provided that the privilege of the A330 type rating is initially limited to flight under the supervision of an instructor as per FCL.720.A(d). The number of flight hours under the supervision of an instructor on the A330 must be at least equal to the number of missing hours of experience on the A340. In this case, up to 50% of the hours of experience on the A340 may have been completed in a FFS.
Evaluation during CBT phase:
Evaluation during ground phase: on completion of this phase, a written multiple-choice examination will be completed. The minimum level required, to be declared proficient, is 75%.
Unsatisfactory Examination:
Corrective action will be determined by the instructor in co-ordination with the Head of Training. The student will then undertake a ground examination.
